More Picnic Pictures

Thank you to April White for these pictures!

Church Picnic June 28, 2009

The pictures below were taken at our picnic on Sunday, June 28, 2009. It was a great day at Camp Russell – the sun was bright and warm - the food was fantastic – the kids swam and danced (even some of the big kids!). As I walked around with my camera I couldn’t help but notice all the laughter!

Thank you Father Peter for this wonderful gift of fellowship!

If anyone has more pictures of the day that they’d like to share please contact me and I’ll do my best to get them posted.

Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2009

As a wonderful gift at Pentecost, each family received a cross made from the original beams of the church. A true Rugged Old Cross. These crosses (about 900 of them) were lovingly made by an anonymous parishioner as service to our “Reaching New Heights” campaign. The picture is one of our youth choir members, Ralph Nettleton, holding his special Pentecost gift.

Pentecost was also a very special day for the children’s choir. They each received a gift of the new “Reaching New Heights” T-shirts. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids proudly wearing their new shirts. Don’t they look great?!

The videos below are of the children’s choir singing their two signature songs: “Lift Us Up To The Lord” (words by our cantor Patrick Kelly and music by our music director Joe Rose) and Awesome God. The children work hard on their contribution to each mass. As you can see we’ve added a dance team and a wonderful Saxophone player. Enjoy the videos!

The elevator has arrived!!! It arrived on June 2, 2009. It was a very exciting day at St. Charles Church. This is the moment that we have all been waiting for since the beginning of this project.

A very excited and proud Fr. Gregory.

Here is our ace photographer, Bob. Thanks, Bob for the great pictures.

Friday, June 5th

These are pictures of the most important part of the whole project, the elevator control room. Most of us will never see behind these walls so here you go. There is no equipment in there yet but stay tuned because I can assure you that the room will be filled soon.
